How Dealer Adda handles your data

Dealer Adda is a network where used car dealers trade with each other, run by Trulens-AI Tech Private Limited ("we"). This policy covers the Dealer Adda mobile app and the website at dealeradda.in. It says what we collect, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect

The app asks for the camera and photo library to add photos and scan documents, the microphone only if you use voice search, and notifications. Each is optional and can be changed in your phone's settings. We do not track your location; we use only the city you choose.
Who can see your information
- Other dealers on the network see your dealership's name, city, verification badge, trust score, ratings, display picture and the cars you list.
- Your phone number is shown to another dealer only after an offer has been made between the two of you.
- Your documents, PAN and KYC results are seen only by Dealer Adda's verification team. Other dealers never see them.
- Chat is visible to the two dealerships in the conversation. Our team may review a conversation when one of you reports it.
We do not sell your data, and the app shows no advertising.
Companies that process data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the task listed:
- Amazon Web Services (Mumbai, India) hosts the service and stores data and photos. Its image analysis service finds the number plate in a photo so it can be hidden.
- OnGrid verifies PAN and Aadhaar for KYC.
- Vehicle registry lookup providers return a car's registration details, challans and FASTag status when you ask for them.
- Anthropic reads the text from a registration certificate or plate photo you scan, to fill in the car's details for you.
- Google Firebase and Expo deliver push notifications.
- WhatsApp or SMS providers deliver login codes.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and trading records for as long as your account is open. When you close it, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except records we must keep by law, such as KYC and transaction records, and records of deals that also belong to the other dealer.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Documents and photos are stored privately and served through short-lived links. Access by our team is limited to the people who verify dealers and handle reports.
Your choices and deleting your account
- See and correct your details in the app under Profile.
- Switch plate hiding, language and notifications on or off in the app or your phone's settings.
- Delete your account yourself: in the app, or on the web at dealeradda.in after logging in, open Profile → Delete account, type DELETE and confirm. It takes effect at once.
- What is deleted: your name, mobile number, email, password, picture, GST and AICDA details, business documents, KYC records, your cars and requirements, follows, saved searches, RC scans and notifications. Your number is freed and can register again as a new account.
- What is kept: chats, offers and deals you had with other dealers, and cars that were part of a deal, because they are the other dealer's records too. They show "Deleted dealer" in place of your name. We keep a record that the account was deleted and when, with no personal details in it. Photos and files of deleted cars, your picture, documents and RC scans are removed from storage at the same time; photos and files you sent inside chats or deals stay with that chat or deal.
- If you cannot log in, ask for deletion, a copy of your data, or a correction using the contact details on Dealer Adda's Google Play listing, from your registered mobile number. We act on verified requests within 30 days.
- You may withdraw consent at any time by closing your account. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Who can use Dealer Adda
Dealer Adda is for used car businesses and people aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
